Celebrating In Living Color at the 2012 TV Land Awards

I had an amazing time at the 2012 TV Land Awards, which recognized important contributions to television. These included the likes of Laverne & Shirley, the cast of Murphy Brown, One Day at a Time and Paul Reubens, or better known as “Peewee Herman”. Hearing Aretha Franklin sing live was amazing. But having the opportunity to to see my old cast mates from In Living Color was extremely special. Everyone looked wonderful!

I’m honored to have been a part of the awards show in New York this year, alongside the unbelievably talented cast members of In Living Color. The show received the Groundbreaking Award. It’s been nearly 20 years since my nimble days as a “Fly Girl” on the show, and it really shows how time flies. Those days were a lot of fun!

Hats off to Kelly Ripa, who I dubbed and honorary “Fly Girl.” Dancing with her at the end of the show was a blast!

We spotted Helena Christensen wearing the Marie Todd Laurel in the amazing spread in Un-Titled Project. Un-Titled Project was Founded by former photo editor of Harper’s Bazaar & current NYC photographer Dennis Golonka.

UTP is defined by the contributions of it’s distinct artists. Works include personal essays, fashion, nudes, video, art and illustration. Artists are given free reign to actualize, explore, aspire and share their personal visions.

The Studio – Looking Back

It’s hard to believe that two years have gone by since I started Marie Todd. It has been an amazing journey so far and I continue to learn new things everyday about running a business and building a brand. I’ve met some incredible people along the way that have been very generous with their time, knowledge and talents. As I move on, I’m excited for the future of the brand and look forward to what’s next around the corner. I wanted to share a quick look back at the last two years.
